It's a thriller that tells the story of Shail Kabeer who tries to expose social wrongdoings through his blog. It is based on true events when in 2001 he meets journalist Salma Khan who has just uncovered a murder which she believes will change society for good and become an international sensation. Shail Kabeer (Raj Kumar Yadav) is an eminent name in the world of online blogging. His blog, named "Kabeer Watch" by his readers has won him iconic popularity. He often posts about social issues which despite being ignored by his fellow men, yet get the attention of people around the world. Shail loses his wife to sickness and goes to live with his mother in Middleton House in London. He becomes a recluse in London but refuses to cut ties with the rest of the world due to his belief that social change will come only when enough people speak up against it. Having lost everything else, he still remains optimistic about humankind's ability for good especially when connected through the internet. Salma Khan (Kirron Kher), an investigative journalist, uncovers a murder which seems to be inspired by the infamous Indian politician Bal Thackeray. Her discovery sparks interest in Shail's blog and he decides to meet her. He gets more than he bargains for as Salma turns out to be just as passionate about human rights as he is. They fall in love and eventually get married. Shail continues to use his blog as a platform for his activism but the effects of his blog are nothing short of dramatic. It brings about change not only in India but also in Bangladesh where his articles have serious consequences on Indian politics there. In the midst of it all, Salma gives birth to a baby girl and they name her Tara. This marks a new beginning in their lives. Everything seems to be going in favour of Shail and Salma until the aggression of terrorist groups based in Pakistan become too much for them to handle. The world they envisioned starts crumbling around their ears and they realize that their voices cannot seem to stir up enough change among the masses despite the positive impact it had on a few people's beliefs. They feel their efforts have been wasted but Shail still believes that his daughters will make things better for the next generation.
